Delete your GoCouples account
You can delete your GoCouples account and its associated data at any time. Here's how, and what happens to your data.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open GoCouples and go to the You tab.
- Open Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account (or End relationship → Delete).
- Confirm. Your account is closed immediately and scheduled for permanent deletion.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app, email us from the address on your account at team@aikazoo.com with the subject "Delete my GoCouples account". We'll verify your request and delete your account within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the personal data tied to it, including:
- Your account and profile (email, name, pronouns, birthday, city label)
- Your messages, voice notes, and photos (snaps)
- Your check-ins, daily-question answers, important dates, and nudges
- Your cycle-tracking entries
- Your location-sharing data
Your account is closed right away and is permanently erased within 30 days.
What may be retained
We may retain a limited amount of information where we are legally required to, or to prevent fraud and abuse and keep our service secure. Such data is kept only as long as necessary and is then deleted. Routine backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
Note: GoCouples is shared between two paired partners. Deleting your account removes your data; content your partner created remains theirs. Your partner will be unpaired.
